Bar Bracket Components These components provide the parts necessary to fabricate brackets for your unique requirements. Weld the bracket arm directly to your post or attach to a bracket base to make a wall mount handrail bracket. Trim the bracket arm as needed to match your projection requirements. When longer bracket arms are needed, Wagner can manufacture bar bends specific for your job. Be aware that longer bracket arms will increase stress at the wall connection. Reducing bracket spacing will strengthen the rail in such cases. Consult with a structural engineer in extreme situations.

Glass Mount Brackets Codes generally require handrail to be between 34”- 38” tall for a standard 42” guardrail application in a stairway. Glass mounting brackets permit attachment directly to tempered glass structural balustrades, or between lites of glass if its a minimum of 1.83” thick. Please see WagnerCompanies.com for minimum hole requirements table.

Note: stainless steel brackets use a disk with a welded stud. Aluminum and brass brackets use a disk with a countersunk hole and bolt. Brackets are shipped as kits and are not assembled. Hole Specs for Glass If a hole is to be drilled in the glass, it must be done prior to tempering. Drilling holes or grinding glass after tempering may cause breakage.

Bracket Wall Fillers

Available with one center hole for 3/8” mounting bolt, or one center hole and three tapped holes for 1/4” mounting bolts. Use plated steel fillers with aluminum and bronze brackets. Call for availability.

These optional fillers are for plaster walls or wall board. The fillers prevent overtightening of matching handrail brackets which may result in cracking the drywall.
